Welcome back to our roundup of the best of the blogs. For your
inspiration and enjoyment this weekend, we bring you candlelit décor
and a few ways to dress up your escort cards.
For a vintage touch, consider using antique skeleton keys to accent your escort
cards. Head over to Classic Bride to see a picture.
There are lots of other creative ways to make your escort cards a little more playful.
Michelle Rago has some great ideas, including leaning the cards against vibrant green
apples or layering sea shells below them.
Wedding Planner Blog presented some
gorgeous headbands that would make a bold, colorful statement at a
rehearsal dinner.
We found this beautiful Beverly Hills wedding on The Cinderella
Project.
Hundreds of candles were spaced throughout the table decorations. The result is quite stunning.
Finally, one always has to hope for good weather when planning an
outdoor ceremony. But when clouds rolled in during this affair we
found on Elizabeth Anne Designs the couple made the best of it, kissed in the rain, and still came
away with a lovely wedding.

Etsy.com, the online international marketplace to buy and sell handmade items, has so many inspiring treasures for wedding planning. The question isn’t whether you should go, but rather, where do you begin? With hundreds of handmade invitations, vintage inspired jewels and gifts, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. But don’t fret, busy brides! Allow us to welcome you to the Etsy Find of the Week! We’ll do the legwork and find all the greatest items on Etsy for your wedding, so all you have to do is follow our lead (and links) to some inspired wedding day goodies.
This week we’re kicking off the fun with these adorable handmade and custom painted lovebird cake toppers from Little Vale in Singapore! These little clay birds are a great alternative to a traditional bride and groom cake topper and add rustic charm to any wedding cake.
The birds can be painted in any color and will even have your initials and wedding date etched into the bottom to serve as lifelong mementos of your day. Because they don’t look like traditional toppers, they can blend right into your home décor and add flair to a bathroom table or bookshelf. They are only $45 and will arrive within 7-10 days of placing your order. Click here for ordering information, and stay tuned for more Etsy finds!

Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the best of the wedding blogs. For your
enjoyment this Friday we bring you homemade favors and a wedding gone
wild (but in the most elegant way). Read on for the goods.
Bakers twine (that red and white striped string) is utilitarian when wrapped around a box of cookies, but when used on invitations or
save the dates, like we saw on Elizabeth Anne Designs,
it's very pretty.
“Bride” Ideas had several stunning examples of the different ways to use a damask in
your wedding décor.
Most engagement shoots we find have couples posed in different
photogenic locales, but the couple in this shoot on Polka Dot Bride took a different approach—the pictures were taken while they baked a
cake together.
Style Me Pretty showed
off a cute way to incorporate DIY—making homemade mini-pies and
giving them out as (delicious) reception favors. Head over there for
pictures and the super-easy recipe.
Finally, there was so much we enjoyed about this wedding at New York’s
Central Park Zoo from Mr. Boddington's Studio. There’s the bold black,
pink and green color palette, the varied heights of the animal-printed
seating cards, the beautiful ceremony locale and the bride’s gorgeous
dress.

Happy Friday! Start your weekend off right with our favorite
Web finds from the past week. Topping our list this time is an urban-chic
wedding and bridesmaid dresses in great fall colors. Enjoy!
We found this adorable engagement shoot on Wedding Chicks.
The couple took these shots in an old-fashioned soda shop and they
came out sweeter than sweet.
We also loved these jewel-toned bridesmaid dresses posted on What
Junebug Loves. Any one of them would be perfect for a fall wedding.
With This Ring posted a great wedding that took place in Chicago, which featured the
elegant white flowers. We also liked how the couple
incorporated city landmarks into their photographs without looking
touristy or cheesy.
After looking at that urban-chic affair, we were also happy to find
this bright, fun Palm Springs wedding from Style Me Pretty. The palette is brilliant—bright orange, yellows and white!
Finally, these invitations from Oh So Beautiful Paper definitely made a statement. They used transparent overlays with the
couple’s initials to lay out the details. You can’t see the
information unless the two are put together, but can you think of a
better metaphor for marriage?

Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the best of weddings on the Web. Start your weekend off right with a few delicious cakes
and a beautiful real wedding. Enjoy!
What Junebug Loves showed off some necklaces with lots of sparkle and tons of drama. They'd be the perfect accent to a simple wedding gown.
You don’t normally think of typeface as décor, but as this
Metropolitan Opera gala (designed by David Stark) shows, it can make a
big statement. Go to The Cinderella Project to see the pictures.
While we’re on the subject of décor, Michelle Rago showcased creative ways to incorporate candles, from tall pillars to tiny votives.
Brooklyn Bride showed off some delicious-looking cakes from Eat Cake, Be Merry. We
loved the confections’ modern designs and bright colors.
Finally, we enjoyed looking at this wedding on Kiss the Groom. The couple took photos in a
lush apple orchard, gave out homemade cookies as favors and looked
like they had a blast throughout the whole affair.

Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the best of the blogs. Read on
for inspiration including a new line of weddings gowns and a stunning greenhouse wedding.
What Junebug Loves was inspired by Amy Kuschel's new line of dresses. They're reminiscent of a romantic wedding with monochromatic décor details. Click through to see pictures.
Once Wed showed off a lush, fall-inspired bouquet in a lovely combination of
silvery greens, dusty pinks, soft browns, and
touches of burgundy.
Little Winter Bride featured a gorgeous photo from a greenhouse wedding—you'll be impressed with how beautifully it turned out.
We also enjoyed looking at the parasols and touches of pink in this
wedding on Snippet & Ink.
Finally, there's an affair with gorgeous details and an interesting
back story on Style Me Pretty.
The couple eloped in London’s Covent Garden, but missed celebrating with family and friends. So they threw a wedding party upon their return,
using touches of yellow, pink and orange to make the outdoor event
bright and welcoming.

Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the best of the blogs. This
week, we bring you a pretty pink inspiration board and cool cake stands.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and The Cinderella Project marks the month with an inspiration board in pink, the color of the
cause.
Pretty Pretty Paper showed off some cake stands. If you have custom ones made, like she did for her wedding, you can show them off at the reception and then
have them to entertain with long after the honeymoon.
And cake stands would be nothing without confections to place on them.
Take a look at some of the delicacies we found on Brooklyn Bride.
Little White Book showed us another unique place to add décor details—the backs of
chairs. See examples including wooden signs reading Bride and Groom or
wreaths of flowers.
Finally, we love all the details in this wedding we found on 100 Layer
Cake, from the lovebirds
and bicycles incorporated into the décor to the outdoor ceremony and
reception complete with a dance floor.

Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the best of the blogosphere. For
your inspiration and enjoyment this Friday, we bring you gorgeous
wedding photos and a few creative décor ideas.
Flights of Fancy presented a beautiful inspiration board featuring elegant ways to work Tiffany blue.
Take a look at these invitations we found on Oh So Beautiful Paper. We love the nature motif and that the couple used photographs to inspire the design. They also carried the nature theme over into their wedding, which you can also see pictures of in the post.
There are engagement shoots and wedding photos, but post-wedding
shoots aren't something you see as often. Head over to Brooklyn Bride to see a beautiful one we found this week.
Take a look at the stunning details from this wedding by one of our
favorite planners, Mindy Weiss, on Kiss the Groom.
Finally, 100 Layer Cake came up with some creative ideas for incorporating vintage wallpaper,
from using it to line invitation envelopes to transforming it into faux-flower
placecards.

Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the best of the weddings blogs.
This week, vintage inspiration and a pretty outdoor wedding topped our
list. Enjoy!
With This Ring turned us on to these cake stands, made from vintage china. They’d be
great as cupcake stands at a reception or bridal shower.
Looking for more great vintage inspiration? Check out this
‘30s-inspired wedding on Once Wed.
Take a look at this engagement shoot we found on Snippet & Ink. The couple and the photographer made great use of the beach and a meadow.
The Cinderella Project had
some great advice for incorporating pink into your wedding palette, without things
looking too girly. Her advice is to layer shades of the
hue.
Finally, take a look at this wedding shot by the photographers at Our
Labor of Love.
We liked the feel of the outdoor ceremony and the emotion conveyed through the pictures at the reception.

Welcome back to our weekly dose of our favorite things from the Internet. This week, the list includes inspiration from old movies
and a winery wedding. Enjoy!
Classic movies can be a great source of inspiration. Which is why we
like this inspiration board on Lucky Me,
which channels the Audrey Hepburn film Roman Holiday.
For those who would rather draw inspiration from vintage fashion than vintage
films, this unique headpiece on Little Winter Bride is probably right up your alley.
Another source of vintage goodness, in the form of old-fashioned cake
toppers, can be found on Victoria with Roses.
Check out EW.com's awesome roundup of TV weddings. Some of our faves include the Grey's Anatomy tear-jerker and Miranda's non-traditional nuptials on Sex and the City.
Pretty Pretty Paper had a gorgeous picture from a wedding that took place at the zoo. It
gives the term “lovebirds” a whole new meaning.
Finally, take a look at this winery wedding on Style Me Pretty.
We love the casual, yet elegant details, including paper lanterns and brightly colored wildflowers.
