Runway Recap: Lela Rose
My last show of the market was Lela Rose. We headed to their showroom to
preview the seven new gowns the RTW-turned-bridal-designer added for Spring
2010. Like a French bakery, the collection was a beautiful assortment of
treats: the hardest part was picking out which one I liked most.
I decided on the appropriately themed Chalet gown. The sweetheart A-line dress featured an organza shirt with tulle floral embroidery throughout. The craftsmanship was extraordinary and truly a masterpiece.
The most pleasant surprise was Moon, a sequin fringe mini, which was a huge departure from Rose¹s signature structured yet romantic gowns. Nonetheless, it was super chic and perfect for an after party.
