Get Your Ring At “The Rock”
The holiday season is upon us, which of course brings holiday sales, holiday foods and...engagement season! So if you’re attached but not yet engaged, have your guy “stumble upon” this little piece of information about how a New York City landmark could help him pop the question.
The Rink at Rockefeller Center (therinkatrockcenter.com), home of the iconic Christmas tree, is now offering an “Engagement on Ice” package. For $250 (it goes down to $200 after Jan. 5), you get admission onto the rink, skate rentals, private time on the ice for the proposal and a champagne toast afterwards. They’ll also play a favorite song if you provide them with music, so the moment can be extra personal.
For those who prefer to keep their mistletoe and matrimonial plans separate, the package is available through early April, which is when the rink closes for the summer. So if you two lace up your skates at Rockefeller Center this year, be prepared—he might have some ice of a different sort for you.
